Alexander Ritschard has captured the title of the 2024 Savannah Challenger. The No. 5 seed of the $82,000 clay-court event ended the run of Ecuadorian qualifier Andres Andrade in Sunday’s singles final. Ritschard won in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.
The 30-year-old Swiss, who graduated from the University of Virginia in 2017 and represented the United States from 2018 to 2022, converted four of his 14 break-point chances and won 59 per cent of the total points played to seal victory in one hour and 35 minutes.

By winning his second ATP Challenger Tour career title following his maiden triumph in Hamburg, Germany two years ago, Ritschard earned $11,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The Savannah Challenger was held at The Landings Golf and Athletic Club in Savannah, a historic city known for its cobblestone streets, antebellum architecture, and beautiful parks. It’s located on the Atlantic coast of Georgia and is famous for its well-preserved historic district, which features stunning mansions, museums, and charming squares filled with oak trees draped in Spanish moss.
