Marco Trungelliti won two marathon matches Saturday to reach the final of the Internazionali Di Tennis – Citta’ Di Vicenza. The No. 5 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 clay-court event in Northern Italy rallied past third-seeded Chilean Tomas Barrios Vera 2-6, 6-3, 7-6(3) in two hours and 36 minutes in the quarterfinals followed by a 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 semi-final victory over Nerman Fatic of Bosnia Herzegovina.

Trungelliti converted eight of his 14 break-point chances against Fatic to prevail after two hours and 39 minutes.

The 34-year-old Argentine is seeking his fourth Challenger career title, his second of the season after lifting the trophy in Kigali, Rwanda.

Trungelliti will take on Chun-Hsin Tseng of Chinese Taipei. The 22-year-old beat Murkel Dellien of Bolivia 6-4, 6-3 and then knocked out top seed Francesco Passaro from Italy 6-3, 6-3. Tseng saved all four break points he faced and capitalized on three of his own eight break-point chances to succeed in one hour and 36 minutes.

Tseng could clinch his fifth Challenger career title, also his second of 2024 following his triumph in Szekesfehervar, Hungary in March. The Asian won both of the two previous meetings with Trungelliti.
