The Vrhnika Open was held at the TK Vrhnika in a picturesque town in central Slovenia. The city with about 10,000 inhabitants is situated approximately 21 kilometers southwest of the capital, Ljubljana. Known for its rich history, charming landscapes, and cultural significance, Vrhnika offers a delightful escape into the heart of Slovenian tradition and natural beauty.

Vrhnika has a storied past dating back to Roman times, when it was known as Nauportus. The town’s strategic location along the Ljubljanica River made it an important trade and transport hub. Visitors can explore remnants of its ancient history, including archaeological sites and the iconic Močilnik springs, which are steeped in local legends.
