The USTA today released the men’s and women’s singles entry lists for the 2024 US Open.
World No. 1s Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek lead their respective fields, followed by reigning US Open champions Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff, who are both ranked No. 2 in the world. World No. 3s Carlos Alcaraz, who has won the past two Grand Slam men’s singles titles, and Aryna Sabalenka, the reigning Australian Open champion, round out the top entries.
The United States leads all nations with 25 players (15 women and 10 men) earning direct entry.
The American women are led by No. 2 Gauff, No. 6 Jessica Pegula and No. 9 Danielle Collins, while the American men in the field include Top-15 players Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton.
Americans using special or protected rankings to gain direct entry include Reilly Opelka (No. 33), Shelby Rogers (No. 51) and Lauren Davis (No. 59).
Both the men’s and women’s entries were based on the July 15 rankings. The women’s cutoff was No. 96, while the men’s cutoff was No. 98.
The 2024 US Open main draw runs Monday, August 26, to Sunday, September 8, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Fan Week, which features the Qualifying Tournament, begins on Monday, August 19.
