STUTTGART, June 7, 2016
Before Roger Federer started his Monday evening practice session on centre court of the Mercedes Cup, the 34-year-old Swiss had come to the venue of the Tennis Club Weissenhof in a different mission. Alongside Ola Källenius, member of the board at Mercedes-Benz and responsible for marketing & distribution, Federer revealed the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class T-Model.
The 17-times Grand Slam champion also met Germany’s football world champion Mesut Özil, who was also on site as brand embassador for Stuttgar’s global automobile manufacturer. Federer wished Özil all the best for the upcoming European Championships in France and presented the tournament’s venue to the German.
Later in the evening, Federer was back on court to complete his public practice session.
