For the fourth time, the Schwaben Open will bring world-class tennis to the venue of the TC Augsburg Siebentischwald. The ATP Challenger Tour 50 clay-court tournament is scheduled for August 17–23, 2025 and offers a total prize pool of €37,800.

Rising German Talents: Engel and Dedura-Palomero

The tournament promises a traditional mix of international players and emerging talents striving to establish themselves on the professional tour. In 2024, the event featured Justin Engel and Diego Dedura-Palomero, two top U18 players from the German Tennis Federation (DTB).

  • Justin Engel: At just 17 years old, Engel is the youngest player in the Top 400 of the ATP Rankings. Despite his impressive form, including a maiden title on the men’s tour the previous week, fatigue impacted his performance in the Schwaben Open qualifiers.
  • Diego Dedura-Palomero: A 16-year-old from Berlin, Dedura-Palomero advanced through the qualifiers and made history as the first player born in 2008 to secure a main-draw victory at a Challenger tournament.
