Schedules Announced For 2025 Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers

Billie Jean King Cup

ITF Press Release, February 21, 2025

The schedules for the six 2025 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Qualifiers have been confirmed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and Billie Jean King Cup Ltd.

Each Qualifiers event will be held in one location over three days on either 10-12 or 11-13 April, with the host nation having choice of surface. The six group winners will join hosts China, P.R. and 2024 world champions Italy at the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals.

In January, Shenzhen was confirmed as the host of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals for 2025-27.

The 2025 Qualifiers are being played as six groups of three nations on a round-robin basis as the Finals transition from a 12-team event in 2024 to an eight-team event in 2025, mirroring the existing Davis Cup Final 8 format.

All ties at the Qualifiers will be played as best-of-three matches – two singles matches followed by a doubles match. All matches will be played as best-of-three tiebreak sets.

The nations finishing in 2nd and 3rd place in each group will compete in the 2025 Play-offs, alongside the best-performing teams from the 2025 regional Group I events. The Play-offs will also be contested as groups of three teams, with the group winners advancing to the 2026 Qualifiers.

Traditional home-or-away ties will return in the Qualifiers and Play-offs from 2026 onwards.
