Andrey Rublev has captured the title of the 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open. The No. 5 seed of the ATP Tour 500 hard-court event in Doha outlasted eighth-seeded Briton Jack Draper 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 in Saturday’s singles final.

Rublev withstood 12 aces and broke his rival’s serve three times. The World No. 10 won 55 per cent of the total points played to secure victory in two hours and three minutes.

“It feels amazing,” said Rublev. “It’s my first ever title that I won twice.. I’m really happy. I think both of us were really tired after two three-set matches that finished late. We were exhausted and it was difficult, but somehow we were able to play at a good level. When I lost the second set, I let it go and started to play more freely.

“I played at a good level. In some moments, I was really good mentally and didn’t let frustration get over me. As soon as I was frustrated, I was able to restart again and I was able to play at the same intensity. That’s the most important thing.”

Rublev lifted his 17th ATP Tour career trophy, his second in Doha after 2020. He pocketed $516,165 in prize money as well as 500 ATP Ranking points.

Cash/Glasspool win all-British doubles final

Earlier in the day, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool wasted no time in securing their third tour-level title as a duo. The British pair delivered a commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory over their compatriots Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski, reaffirming their position as one of the standout doubles teams of 2025.

Since making their team debut last September, Cash and Glasspool have enjoyed a rapid rise, claiming titles in Tokyo (October), Brisbane (January), and now Doha. Their latest triumph propels them to third place in the ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings.

“We really enjoyed our time here. Lloyd and I put a lot of effort in and it’s kind of showing early in the year, which is nice. Hopefully we can keep improving and get some bigger titles down the road,” said Cash.

Glasspool added about goals for the rest of the season: “I try to have low expectations, honestly. Just try to keep working hard, have belief in our level and trust it, and see what happens. If you put that hard work, eventually it should hopefully show at some point.”
