GUIA DE ISORA, February 13, 2026

The semifinals in at the Tenerife Challenger 2 will have a distinctly Spanish flavor. Three of the four remaining players — Alejandro Moro Canas, Pablo Llamas Ruiz and Daniel Merida — booked their places in the final four of the second consecutive ATP Challenger Tour tournament staged at the Abama Tennis Academy in Guia de Isora. The only Spaniard to bow out was Pol Martín Tiffon, who pushed former world No. 31 Lloyd Harris to three sets but ultimately fell 6–7(6), 6–4, 6–4.

Harris now faces Llamas Ruiz, who produced a strong comeback to eliminate third seed Luka Mikrut 3–6, 7–5, 6–2. In the top half of the draw, Moro Canas continued his impressive run by beating Stefano Travaglia 6–4, 6–2 and will meet last week’s Tenerife Challenger 1 champion Merida, who dispatched Tom Gentzsch 6–1, 6–4.

Moro Canas’ win over Travaglia underlined his growing confidence after two straight weeks on the island. The Madrid native spoke of a “very complete match” and credited improved fitness for his current form, adding that a wildcard from the Spanish federation proved crucial to getting his campaign started in the main draw. With three Spaniards now in the semifinals, the Tenerife Arena is set for a celebration of home tennis on Saturday.
