Gianluca Cadenasso captured his maiden title on the ATP Challenger Tour, winning the third edition of the Munich Ultra Paraguay Open in Asuncion. The 21-year-old Italian defeated Franco Roncadelli of Uruguay 7-6(5), 6-0 in Sunday’s singles final.
Cadenasso won 82 per cent of first-service points and 58 per cent of the total points played to secure victory in one hour and 47 minutes.

Cadenasso battled his way into the championship match with wins over sixth-seeded Ecuadorian Alvaro Guillen Meza, Argentine alternate Luciano Emanuel Ambrogi, Pedro Boscardin Diaz of Brazil and Lautaro Midon from Argentina.
Following four triumphs on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the world No. 300 lifted his first trophy on the Challenger Circuit. He earned $17,000 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The offered a total prize pool of $107,000 and was hosted by the Rakiura Resort in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay and one of the oldest cities in South America. It serves as the country’s political, cultural, and economic center.
