SAO LEOPOLDO/STARNBERG, April 5, 2026
An electrifying final with an outstanding level of tennis brought the 2026 Sao Leo Open to a fitting conclusion on Sunday morning at the Sao Leopoldo Tenis Clube.
Second seed Hugo Dellien of Bolivia, currently ranked No. 160 in the world, faced Argentina’s Facundo Diaz Acosta, who is ranked No. 222 but reached a career-high of No. 47 in 2024.
In a match that lasted nearly three hours and was watched by a strong crowd on Centre Court, Diaz Acosta delivered a composed and consistent performance to claim the title. After struggling early on, the Argentine gradually found his rhythm and relied on his experience and shot-making to turn the match in his favor.

Tournament director Jose Carlos Ferreira Junior praised both the final and the overall success of the 2026 edition.
“We will certainly take a long time to forget this moment,” Ferreira Junior said. “It was a match of a spectacular level that everyone in the stands was able to witness. In addition, we had an incredible week with great support from the public, side events and an event that will be remembered. I would also like to thank all the sponsors who helped us stage another edition of the tournament.”
