Luisina Giovannini successfully defended her title at the ITF World Tennis Tour W35 Junin II on Sunday, defeating fellow Argentine Martina Capurro 6-4, 7-5 in a repeat of last week’s final at Club Sarmiento.
The 19-year-old from General Cabrera continued her excellent run of form by claiming her second consecutive title in Junin and the 12th title of her professional career. Nine of those trophies have come on home soil in Argentina.
With the victory, Giovannini also secured a place in the qualifying draw for Roland Garros.
Giovannini has enjoyed a remarkable 2026 season so far. In six tournaments played, she has now won three titles and reached one additional final, confirming her status as one of Argentina’s most promising young players.
