SANTOS/STARNBERG, April 30, 2026

One of Brazil’s most promising young players, Guto Miguel, has been confirmed for the 2026 Santos Brasil Tennis Cup, an ATP Challenger 50 event set to take place from May 3 to 10 at the Tenis Clube de Santos. The 17-year-old, currently ranked world No. 2 in the junior rankings, continues to balance his development between junior competitions and the professional circuit.

Competing with a wild card, Guto returns to the Santos Challenger after making his debut at the event in 2024. The young Brazilian expressed both gratitude and determination ahead of the tournament, highlighting his motivation to keep improving and make the most of the opportunity.

Guto joins fellow 17-year-old Pedro Longobardi, a local player who also received a wild card into the main draw. In total, eight Brazilian players are currently confirmed for the main draw: Matheus Pucinelli, Daniel Dutra Silva, Eduardo Ribeiro, Pedro Sakamoto, Joao Schiessl, Mateus Alves, Pedro Longobardi, and Guto Miguel. This number could still increase following the qualifying rounds.

Adding experience to the field, Argentina’s Federico Coria has also been granted a wild card. The 34-year-old, a former world No. 49, is aiming to regain his best form after being sidelined by injury last season.

The eighth edition of the tournament will feature players from ten different countries and offers a total prize pool of $63,000, along with 50 ATP ranking points for the champion. The event is part of the ATP Challenger Tour calendar and is organized by Instituto Sports, with support from the Brazilian Tennis Confederation, the São Paulo Tennis Federation, and the Tenis Clube de Santos.
