ITC Crete Challenger

STARNBERG, July 10, 2026

Professional tennis is set to return to the island of Crete this November as the ITC Crete Challengers once again take centre stage at Lyttos Beach, hosting two ATP Challenger 50 tournaments from November 9–15 and November 23–29.

Organized by International Tennis Coaching (ITC) under the leadership of Apostolos Tsitsipas, the tournaments have quickly established themselves as one of the premier professional tennis events in Greece.

Building on the success of the events held earlier this year, Crete has now staged eight ATP Challenger tournaments since March 2025, attracting players from around the world and further strengthening the island’s reputation as an emerging destination on the ATP Challenger Tour.

Over the course of two exciting weeks, fans will have the opportunity to watch world-class tennis as established professionals and rising stars battle for valuable ATP Ranking points on the courts of Lyttos Beach.

Beyond the on-court action, the ITC Crete Challengers continue to play an important role in the development of Greek tennis. By bringing high-level international competition to Crete, the tournaments provide valuable opportunities for homegrown players to compete against some of the world’s best. Since 2025, 17 Greek players have already featured in the ITC Crete Challenger events.

The organizers also extend their sincere appreciation to Lyttos Beach and the Lyttos Group, under the leadership of Pantelis Sapounakis, for their continued trust, partnership and commitment to the growth of professional tennis in Greece.
