Carolina Meligeni Alves continued her impressive 2026 campaign by capturing the ITF W35 Pergamino title in Argentina on Sunday. The third-seeded Brazilian battled back to defeat home favorite and top seed Victoria Bosio 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the championship match.

The victory marks Meligeni Alves’ third World Tennis Tour W35 title of the season, following triumphs in Buenos Aires in March and Cuiabá in June. It is also the 11th professional singles title of her career.

After dropping the opening set, the 29-year-old from Sao Paulo raised her level and successfully adjusted her tactics to turn the match around against the world No. 336, securing another important title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

“It was a very good week, and I’m really happy with today’s win,” Meligeni Alves said. “I knew it would be a very tough match, especially because I had lost to her in our last meeting earlier this year. I started a little nervous, and I think she did too. I went up 4-0 quickly, but then she became more aggressive and took the first set.”

“The key was listening carefully to my coach and being able to put into practice the adjustments we needed to make during the match. I’m very happy to win another title, to have my team by my side, and to feel that I’m continuing to improve with every tournament.”
