CAMPOS DO JORDAO/STARNBERG, August 17, 2026
Luiza Fullana is the champion of the Mantiqueira Pro Series – ITF World Tennis Tour W15 in Campos do Jordao. In Sunday’s final, the Brazilian No. 2 seed and world No. 500 defeated top seed Lan Mi of China, ranked No. 481 in the world, 6-4, 6-2.
The victory marked the 21-year-old Brazilian’s seventh professional singles title, all of them coming at tournaments on home soil.
“I’m very happy with this title and, for sure, it will give me a lot of confidence and inspiration for the next two weeks, here in Campos do Jordão and then in Barueri,” Fullana said. “All seven of my singles titles have come in Brazil. These tournaments here are wonderful for me. I really feel the energy and affection of the crowd and, besides being able to play at home, we have the advantage of receiving prize money in US dollars while our expenses are in Brazilian reais. That makes a big difference for us as players.”
Fullana earns 15 WTA Ranking points and US$2,160 in prize money. Runner-up Lan Mi receives 10 points and US$1,272.
Victoria Barros Wins Doubles Title
Brazil also celebrated success in the doubles competition. Victoria Barros, the No. 4-ranked junior player in the world and the highest-ranked Brazilian in the category, claimed her second professional doubles title at just 16 years of age.
In Saturday evening’s final, Barros and Lan Mi defeated Brazil’s Carolina Bohrer and Leticia Vidal 7-6(5), 7-6(3) in a closely contested match that was decided by two tie-breaks.
