HERAKLION, November 4, 2026 (Media Release)
The countdown is on for the first of three ATP Challenger tournaments organised by Apostolos Tsitsipas‘ International Tennis Coaching (ITC) at Lyttos Beach in Heraklion, Crete.
The ITC Crete Challenger 3 will take place from November 9–15, with qualifying matches getting underway on Sunday, November 8. The action will continue with the ITC Crete Challenger 4, scheduled for November 23–29, before the Lyttos Beach Challenger brings the series to a close from November 30 to December 6, 2026.
Tennis fans in Crete will have the opportunity to experience high-level professional tennis up close, support Greek players competing on home soil and watch some of the most promising emerging talents in international tennis as they look to climb the ATP Rankings.
Following two successful tournaments last March, and having already staged eight ATP Challenger events in Crete since March 2025, ITC continues its efforts to strengthen the presence of professional tennis in Greece.
The ITC Crete Challengers have established themselves as an important stop on the international tennis calendar, providing valuable competitive opportunities for both Greek and international players while bringing world-class tennis closer to local audiences.
At the heart of ITC’s mission is a commitment to creating more opportunities for Greek players to compete in international tournaments, gain valuable experience at a high level and earn crucial ATP Ranking points.
A key contributor to this ongoing initiative is Lyttos Beach and the wider Lyttos Group, led by Pantelis Sapounakis, whose continued support plays an important role in bringing major international sporting events to Crete.
The tournaments are supported by main partners FAME LINE HOLDING GROUP, MEDPOOL, E-SAFE and KAELINE GROUP, alongside the Hellenic Tennis Federation (EFOA), the Region of Crete, WILSON, VANTAGGIO, TOPTENNIS and EMMETROPIA.
Three Tournaments, One Destination
With players arriving from around the world, three weeks of international competition and the chance to witness both established competitors and the rising stars of tomorrow, Lyttos Beach is preparing for another exciting chapter of professional tennis in Crete.
