With Cedrik-Marcel Stebe and Filip Krajinovic two unseeded players will go head to head in Saturday’s singles final of the €43,000 Marburg Open.

Stebe knocked out the tournament’s number three Arthur de Greef from Belgium, winning 6-4, 6-4 on Friday afternoon. The 26-year-old German saved six of the seven break points he faced, converting three of his own to advance to his second consecutive title match on the ATP Challenger Tour, following his triumph in Poprad-Tatry two weeks ago. The encounter lasted one hour and 36 minutes.

Krajinovic edged past Spanish veteran and sixth seed Guillermo Garcia-López 7-5, 6-4. The World No. 180 from Serbia capitalized on two of his 12 break point chances to secure victory in one hour and 57 minutes without losing his serve.

Stebe and Krajinovic will meet for the first time. Both players are bidding to capture their second title of the season. The Serbian took the Neckarcup crown in Heilbronn in May.

Sunday tennis action will start with the doubles final, when top seed Maximo Gonzalez of Argentina and Brazilian Fabricio Neis will take on Rameez Junaid from Australia and Ruan Roelosfse of South Africa.
