The tournament’s number one Laslo Djere defeated Italian Federico Gaio 7-5, 6-2. The World No. 108 from Serbia capitalized on five of his seven break point opportunities to prevail in one hour and 49 minutes.

Next up for Djere will be Enrique López-Pérez from Spain, who recorded a 6-3, 6-4 win over Italian wild card entry Lorenzo Sonego.
