ALMATY, October 7, 2017
Filip Krajinovic captured the title of the $50,000 Almaty Challenger. The 25-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Serbian singles final on Saturday with a 6-0, 6-3 win over top seed Laslo Djere.
The second favourite saved all five break points he faced, capitalizing on five of his own to prevail after one hour and two minutes.
Krajinovic won all of his last 10 matches in straight sets, as he also clinched the title of the BFD Challenger in Rome last week without dropping a set. The World No. 95 takes away from Kazakhstan $7,200 in prize money as well as 90 ATP ranking points.
