MILAN, November 1, 2011
Despite his withdrawal from the inaugural Next Gen ATP Finals, held from 7 to 11 November at the Feira Milano, World No. 4 Alexander Zverev will be making an appearance in the capital of Lombardy on Tuesday 7 November.
Zverev, who has spearheaded the #NextGenATP campaign throughout this season, will take to the court after the first two matches of the opening day’s afternoon session, against alternate Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece.
The 20-year-old German’s impressive results this season, which include his first two ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles in Rome and Montreal, have seen him become the youngest player in 10 years to qualify for the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals, which begin on Sunday 12 November. Zverev decided to skip the Next Gen ATP Finals in order to focus on his first appearance at the O2 Arena in London.
