Matías Zukas is the winner of the $15,000 Peru F2 Futures held on clay at the Jockey Club del Peru in Lima from 18 to 24 December 2017 . The unseeded Argentine edged past sixth favourite Oscar José Gutierrez of Brazil 6-4, 6-2 in Saturday’s singles final.
Zukas won 70 per cent of his first service points and broke serve six times to secure victory in one hour and 38 minutes. By claiming his third ITF Pro Circuit career title, Zukas earns $2,160 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points.
On Friday, Junior Alexander Ore from the United States and Jorge Brian Panta Herrores of Peru clinched the doubles title with a 6-1, 7-5 win over second seeded Bolivians Boris Arias and Federico Zeballos. The encounter lasted one hour and 12 minutes.
