The World No. 290 will face No. 6 seed Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador in Sunday’s title match. The 27-year-old benefited from the retirement of Brayden Schnur from Canada due to stomach problems, leading 6-3, 2-0.
Arevalo, who eyes his third ATP Challenger crown, won the only previous meeting between the two at Monterrey Challenger last year.
