HAMBURG, June 13, 2018

World No. 7 Dominic Thiem will headline this year’s line-up of the German Open presented by Kampmann, held at the Rothenbaum venue in Hamburg from 21 to 29 July 2018.

The 24-year-old Austrian, who finished runner-up to Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros, will be the lone top 10 player in the entry list, but will be joined by a couple of familiar names on the ATP World Tour including defending champion Leonardo Mayer, who will also return to the ATP 500 clay-court event. The tournament welcomes 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams.

“I am really happy to present such a strong line-up,” Michael Stich commented ahead of his last German Open as tournament director. “Fans at the Rothenbaum will have plenty to enjoy!”
