It’s that time of the year again; the longest ongoing ATP Tournament in The U.S. is back and  better than ever. This year, we feature some of the world’s top talent, including Kevin King, Evan King, Thomas Fabbiano, Gilles Muller, and Bernard Tomic.

On top of that, this year is loaded with “Next Gen” players eager to join the ranks, including Noah Rubin (22), Tommy Paul (21), Ernesto Escobedo (22), Chris Eubanks (22), Max Purcell (20), Marc Polmans (21), Miomir Kecmanovic (18), Thanasi Kokkinakis (22), Quentin Halys (21), and Lloyd Harris (21). These  players have defeated opponents such as Federer, Nadal, Agassi, Roddick, and many other top  contenders.

The Nordic Naturals Challenger presented by Santa Cruz County Bank has been known to feature top talent in their early stages, such as Andy Murray, Marcos Baghdatis, John Isner, and the Bryan Brothers, so make sure to pay attention to our Next Gen’s! Some of our most exciting Next Gen’s are Kokkinakis and Kecmanovic. Kokkinakis knocked off Federer in Miami earlier this year, and Keckmanovic who is only 18 is already in the top 200.

Bernard Tomic, having a career high ranking of 17, is a top Australian player that we’re excited to watch. Tomic started competing at the professional level at the age of 15, and has excelled ever since. In 2013, he won his first ATP tournament at the Hopman Cup by defeating Tommy Haas, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, and Andreas Seppi. He later went on to play in the 2014 Claro Open Colombia after undergoing hip surgery, and left with his second ATP title. The year after, he defended his title and remained victorious for his third ATP title.

Noah Rubin, one of our highest ranked Americans (166) and a “New Gen” player, Rubin has impressed time and time again. Being only 22, Rubin won his first ATP Challenger in Charlottesville by defeating fellow American Tommy Paul, who is also competing here this year. Rubin cracked the top 200 for the first time by qualifying for the 2016 Indian Wells Masters Tournament, and has held steady ever since. He has made it to the second round of the
Australian Open twice, and has faced some of the top names in the process.
