Alexander Bublik has returned to the winners’ circle of the ATP Challenger Tour. The 21-year-old from Kazakhstan clinched the title of the Peugeot Slovak Open in Bratislava. Bublik beat Lukas Rosol from the Czech Republic in Sunday’s singles final of the €106,000 hard-court event 6-4, 6-4.
Bublik, who battled through the qualifying struck 14 aces, saved both break points he faced and capitalized on two of his own chances to prevail after one hour and eight minutes.
By lifting his third ATP Challenger trophy, his first since Aptos in September last year, Bublik collects €15,270 in prize money as well as 110 ATP-Ranking points.
