Roberto Ortega-Olmedo clinched his second title of the season. The 27-year-old Spaniard is the 2018 champion of the Columbus Futures held at the Indoor Tennis Centre of the Ohio State University last week.
Ortega-Olmedo, second seed of the $25,000 ITF Pro Circuit event, rallied past Jack Findel-Hawkins from Great Britain 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in Saturday’s singles final.
The World No. 305, who did not drop a set en route to the the title match, broke his opponent’s serve five times to prevail after one hour and 48 minutes. Ortega-Olmedo, who took the title on home soil in Bakio earlier this season, earned $3,600 in prize money as well as 25 ATP ranking points.
