No. 2 seed Hugo Dellien and Tung-Lin Wu will compete in Sunday’s singles final of the Cachantun Open by KIA held the Club Manquehue in Santiago de Chile.
Dellien defeated Brazilian veteran Thomaz Bellucci 6-4, 6-0. The World No. 87 from Bolivia capitalized on five of his eight break point chances to advance in one hour and 18 minutes.
Later on Saturday afternoon, Wu upset Pablo Andújar of Spain, the top seed of the ATP Challenger 80 clay-court event. The 20-year-old from Chinese Taipei won 77 per cent of his first service points and 57 per cent of the total points played to secure a 6-2, 6-3 victory in one hour and 15 minutes.
Wu clinched his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour earlier in the season in Sharm El Sheikh and will appear in his maiden Challenger final. The World No. 363 will face Dellien for the first time. Dellien is seeking his fourth ATP Challenger trophy on Sunday.
