STARNBERG, June 24, 2019
Defending champion Damir Dzumhur of Bosnia and Herzegovina will try to win his second title at the Turkish Airlines Open Antalya, an ATP 250 tournament. If the fifth seed is able to do so, he will be the first player to retain the Antalya trophy.
The top seed is Frenchman Benoit Paire, who has captured two of his three ATP Tour crowns in 2019. Joining him will be last week’s ‘s-Hertogenbosch champion, Adrian Mannarino, third seeded Australian Jordan Thompson and three players who have cracked the Top 10 of the ATP Rankings: fourth seed Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain, Janko Tipsarevic from Serbia and Latvia’s Ernests Gulbis.
Pella to lead Eastbourn field
Third-seeded wild card Kyle Edmund leads the British charge at the Nature Valley International in Eastbourne, where a man from Great Britain has not lifted the singles trophy since Greg Rusedski in 2003. Other Brits competing at the ATP 250 tournament include Cameron Norrie, Daniel Evans and qualifier Paul Jubb, this year’s NCAA singles champion.
The top seed is Argentine Guido Pella, who earned his first ATP Tour title earlier this year in Sao Paulo. Serbian Laslo Djere, the reigning Rio de Janeiro champion, is the second seed. Fever-Tree Championships winner Feliciano Lopez is also in the draw.
