TRNAVA, September 27, 2015
Robin Haase claimed his 11th ATP Challenger title, winning the final of the ARIMEX Trnava Challenger Open on Sunday against Horacio Zeballos 6-4, 6-1.
The first seeded Dutch saved all of the three break points he faced and capitalized on four of his own to finish the encounter after 62 minutes.
“Last year I arrived here a bit injured from the Davis Cup and lost in the second round but I told Dominik (Hrbaty) that I wanted to come back and do better. So the victory today is amazing,” Haase told afterwards.
“I have been playing a lot of tournaments during the last couple of weeks. Mentally it was very tough for me to play here but the organization is great and you feel like home. Fortunately I also improved my tennis throughout the week and I am very happy to win the title,” the 28-year-old said and added that Trnava was his last clay court tournament for this year and he will go back to the Netherlands next, preparing for the indoors season. Haase takes away € 6,150 in prize money as well as 90 ATP ranking points.
