Nikola Milojevic claimed his second ATP Challenger crown and first of the season, prevailing on the clay of the €46,600 Svijany Open in Liberec. The No. 11 seed from Serbia defeated Brazilian veteran Rogerio Dutra Silva 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final, marking his fourth deciding-set victory of the week.
Milojevic converted all of his four break point opportunities to finish the encounter after two hours and 12 minutes.
The 24-year-old Serbian took away from the Czech Republic €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points rising 32 spots to World No. 148.
On Saturday, Jonas Forejtek and Michael Vrbensky took the doubles title. The all-Czech duo beat Nikola Cacic of Serbia and Antonio Sancic from Croatia 6-4, 6-3. The final lasted one hour and three minutes.
