“Szczecin is a very special place for me, I love playin’ in Poland. We played a good match today, really good. I played in day and night sessions here. I like both,” said Andreozzi, who will also play in the singles final against Jozef Kovalik from Slovakia.
“It’s really big tournament, so that win is really important for us. I’m really happy, because I need points for the ATP ranking. I also hope that Guido will win the singles final on Sunday,” Molteni added. The pair split €7,280 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
“It’s important to have a full time partner in doubles. You know your strengths and weaknesses, you work on them as a team. I will play together with Guido on the Challenger Tour this year and I hope I’ll find a full-time partner for next season.
“It’s my second title this season after winning the ATP tournament in Cordoba in February. I had some first round losses and have split with my partner Roman Jebavy. I’m happy to play two good tournaments in a row – last week we lost in the final and today we are the champions here in Szczecin.”
