MARBELLA, January 20, 2021 (Andalucia Open Press Release)
We are pleased to announce that Andalucía, specifically the city of Marbella, will once again host an ATP 250 in the 2021 season, located in a week that places it as the first tournament of the European clay swing of the ATP Tour.
In this way, the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open will be part of the most important professional tennis circuit, which will allow the best players in the world to register and compete in Marbella, thus greatly improving the line-up in terms of classification compared to past seasons.

On the other hand, the Challenger 80 tournament, which has already been held in the last three years, will remain in its regular week after reaching an agreement with the ATP so that both tournaments take place in consecutive weeks. This decision is aimed at continuing to support the players who already had planned in their calendars to play this event, which will be the prelude to the new ATP 250 tournament. In this way, the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open becomes the fourth ATP Tour tournament in Spain, alongside events in Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca.
Qualifying for the Challenger 80 will begin on Saturday, March 27, with the Main Draw of the event running until Sunday April 4, coinciding with the start of the qualifying for the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open ATP 250, which will run until Sunday, April 11.
In Singles, the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open will feature a 28 player Main Draw, while the Challenger 80 will feature a 32 player Main Draw. In doubles, both tournaments will feature a 16 team Main Draw.
The magnificent facilities of the Puente Romano Beach Resort will serve once again as the venue for both tournaments, where four competition courts will be set up, along with the hotel complex that will host all players during their stay.
Tournament director Ronnie Leitgeb: “After 3 years having exciting Challenger tournaments, we have a great opportunity to place Marbella on the international state. The long tradition of Marbella tennis with Manolo Santana will come to a highlight. I’m sure everybody have to know that this is an exciting place.”
