M25 Jablonec Nad Nisou CZE – Jiri Lehecka triumphs on home soil
The Jablonec Nad Nisou Open 2021, hosted by CLTK Bizuterie Jablonec Nad Nisou, concluded with the title win of local hero Jiri Lehecka.
The teenager from Mlada Boleslav, who was ranked No. 10 in ITF Juniors, won the all-Czech semifinal-clash against Jan Satral in straight sets.
Ukrainian No. 8 seed Vitaliy Sachko booked the spot in the final by defeating Frenchman Evan Furness in two sets.
Top seed Lehecka sent down seven aces in the championship match and won 76 per cent of his first-service points to prevail 6-3, 6-2 in 85 minutes. The 19-year-old, who already represented the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup, celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second in 2021.
M25 Vic ESP – Carlos Gimeno Valero wins at home
Carlos Gimeno Valero took the title of the M25 Vic tournament, held at the Club Tennis Vic in the North of Barcelona.
The top seeded Spaniard eased past Argentinian No. 4 seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli in the stage of the last four in two sets.
Argentinian No. 2 seed Pedro Cachin ended the run of Russian qualifier Yan Bondarevskiy in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Nineteen-year-old Gimeno Valero made 10 points less in the title match, but secured a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory after one hour and 40 minutes. In addition to his title win at the Gran Canaria Challenger II earlier this season, the Valencia native lifted his fourth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Pensacola USA – Nicolas Kicker prevails in Florida
Clay-court specialist Nicolas Kicker claimed the trophy of the M25 Pensacola tournament, hosted by the Roger Scott Tennis Center.
The 28-year-old Argentinian emerged victorious from the semifinal-encounter of two qualifiers against Patrick Kypson from the United States in two sets.
No. 8 seeded Bulgarian Adrian Andreev, who was ranked World No. 2 in the ITF Junior Rankings, edged out British Aidan McHugh in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Merlo-born Kicker broke his 21-year-old opponent in the championship match seven times by losing four service games to win 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 after two hours and 52 minutes. The former World No. 78, who was banned from tennis for two years and eight months due to match fixing offences, celebrated his 12th singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his three title wins on the ATP Challenger Tour. He captured all of his titles on clay.
M15 Sibenik CRO – Timo Legout earns debut title
Timo Legout lifted the trophy of the Sibenik Open 2021, held at Teniski Klub Subicevac, to celebrate his maiden title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
The 19-year-old Frenchman finished the run of Japanese qualifier Rimpei Kawakami in the semi-finals in three sets.
The tournament’s top seed Hernan Casanova from Argentina advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus No. 4 seeded Hungarian Zsombor Piros, who was ranked WorldNo. 3 as a junior.
Unseeded Legout won one point less in the title match, but sealed a 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 win after about two hours.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Ryan Peniston triumphs in Crete
Ryan Peniston clinched the trophy of the M15 Heraklion tournament, hosted by the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy.
The British No. 3 seed battled past the tournament’s second favourite Petros Chrysochos from Cyprus in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Japanese top seed Yuta Shimizu, who reached a career-high ranking of World No. 5 as a junior, made the last step to the final by beating Israeli No. 5 seed Yshai Oliel in three sets.
Left-handed Peniston capitalized on all of his five break-point opportunities in the championship match to claim a 6-3, 6-0 victory in 73 minutes. The 25-year-old from Southend-On-Sea hoisted his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Brcko BIH – Eric Vanshelboim clinches third title of the season
The Brcko Open 2021, held by the National Tennis Center, ended with the victory of Eric Vanshelboim.
The 19-year-old Ukrainian eased past Brazilian No. 7 seed Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Finnish No. 6 seed Otto Virtanen, who was ranked World No. 6 as a junior, benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Chilean No. 3 seed Bastian Malla at the score of 1-6, 5-4.
No. 4 seeded Vanshelboim converted six of his nine break-point chances in the title match and lost two service game to prevail 6-3, 6-7, 6-0 after two hours and 26 minutes. The Sarajevo native, who lives in Alicante, celebrated his fourth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third in 2021.

M15 Tbilisi GEO – Alexander Shevchenko wins another title on hard court
Alexander Shevchenko is the champion of the Tbilisi Cup 2021, hosted by the Tennis Complex Alexsandre Metreveli.
The No. 6 seed from Russia stopped the run of Danish qualifier Christian Sigsgaard in the stage of the final four in two sets.
The tournament’s top favourite Alessandro Bega from Italy advanced to the final with a straight-set win over No. 8 seed Yanki Erel from Turkey.
Twenty-year-old Shevchenko fired 11 aces in the championship match to seal a 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory after two hours and 19 minutes. The Rostov-On-Don native, who is coached by Günter Bresnik, celebrated his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title win in Monastir last year.
M15 Monastir TUN – Yunseong Chung dominates in Turkey
Following his triumph at the same place last week, Yunseong Chung from Korea captured the title at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, without losing a set during the tournament.
The 23-year-old No. 2 seed took the last step to the final by defeating Thomas Fancutt from Australia.
Australian lefty Jeremy Beale, who was sidelined from the tennis courts for more than two years since 2019, edged out wildcard entry Guy Orly Iradukunda from Burundi in the semi-finals in three sets.
Seoul-born Chung converted all of his three break-point chances in the title match without facing a break point to prevail 6-4, 6-2 in 50 minutes. The former juniors’ World No. 3 lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Antalya TUR – Nick Hardt captures back-to-back titles
Nick Hardt emerged victorious at the M15 Antalya tournament, hosted by the Club Megasaray in Belek.
The 20-year-old from the Dominican Republic battled through the top half of the draw, beating German No. 3 seed Benjamin Hassan in the semi-finals in two sets.
No. 7 seed Nicolas Moreno de Alboran from the United States rallied past Italian No. 4 seed Francesco Forti in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
No. 6 seeded Hardt won seven points more in the championship match to claim a 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 victory after about three hours. The Santiago de los Caballeros native celebrated his fifth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
