The entry list for the Astana Open ATP 250 tournament has been released. The event will be held from from September 19 to 26, 2021 at the Nur-Sultan National Tennis Center in Kazakhstan.
The field is led by World No. 19 Cristian Garin of Chile. The five-time ATP singles champion will be joined by Russia’s Aslan Karatsev, Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan, Serbia’s Filip Krajinovic and Dusan Lajovic, as well as last year’s Astana Open champion John Millman of Australia.
Other players to watch include Frenchman Benoit Paire, Italian young gun Lorenzo Musetti and US-American Mackenzie McDonald. Local favourites Mikhail Kukushkin, Andrey Golubev and Alexander Nedovyesov will also be part of the line-up.
More young players from Kazakhstan will try to make their way to the ATP-250 Astana Open through the Kazakhstan National Championship, which will take place in the week before with Dmitriy Popko, Timofey Skatov, Denis Yevseyev, Beibit Zhukayev, Dostanbek Tashbulatov and Grigory Lomakin in action.
