Benjamin Bonzi remains the man to beat on the ATP Challenger Tour. The 25-year-old Frenchman secured his fifth title of the season by lifting the trophy of the Cassis Open Provence held at the Tennis Sporting Club de Cassis in Southern France.
Bonzi, top seed of the €44,820 hard-court tournament, fought past his compatriot and No. 5 favourite Lucas Pouille 7-6(4), 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final. The World No. 94 was the dominant competitor, converted four his 15 break-point chances and won 52 per cent of the total points played to seal victory in one hour and 34 minutes.

Bonzi, who triumphed at the Potch Open in South Africa, at the Ostrava Open in the Czech Republic, at the Open Castilla y Leon in Spain as well as at the Saint-Tropez Open in France last week, pocketed on home soil €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
The Nimes native is on a 15-match ATP Challenger win streak and has become the first player to earn five titles in a season since Filip Krajinovic in 2017.
