Christopher Eubanks claimed his second ATP Challenger Tour title of the season by lifting the trophy of the Knoxville Challenger held at the Goodfriend Indoor Tennis Center of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
The 25-year-old US-American upset No. 2 seed Daniel Altmaier from Germany 6-3, 6-4 in the championship match on Sunday. Eubanks sent down eight aces, didn’t face a break point and capitalized on two of his own eight break-point chances to prevail after one hour and 12 minutes.

Eubanks, who captured the title at the Orlando Challenger in June, battled his way to the singles final of the $52,080 hard-court event through the top half of the draw. The World No. 178 knocked out No. 3 seed Vasek Pospisil of Canada, Go Soeda from Japan, fellow US-American Christian Harrison and his compatriot Bjorn Fratangelo.
By winning his third ATP Challenger career title, Eubanks pocketed on home soil $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
