MARBELLA, February 25, 2022
Professional tennis will return to Marbella next month. From March 28 to April 3, the Club de Tenis Puente Romano will host the fifth edition of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 tournament as well as a first edition of a WTA 125 tournament. This makes the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open the second most important combined tennis event in Spain after Madrid. It will be played on outdoor clay courts.
Stefano Travaglia of Italy won the inaugural edition in 2018, followed by home hopes Pablo Andujar in 2019 and Pedro Martinez in 2020. Italian Gianluca Mager lifted the trophy last year. An ATP 250 tournament took also place in 2021 with a single-year licence. Pablo Carreno Busta triumphed on home soil.
Tickets for the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open are on sale and can be purchased online through the tournament’s official website.
