M25 Trento ITA – Marvin Moeller continues fine run of form

Following his title win on home soil at the DAIKIN Open in Oberhaching two weeks ago, Marvin Moeller clinched his second consecutive singles trophy at the Trentino tournament hosted by ATA Battisti Trento.

The 23-year-old German, who is coached by former tennis professional Julian Reister, cruised past Andrew Paulson from the Czech Republic in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Petr Nouza from the Czech Republic won the semifinal-encounter against German No. 3 seed Henri Squire, who played college tennis for the Wake Forest University, in three sets.

No. 4 seeded Moeller won 85 per cent of his first-service points and gained two breaks in the title match without facing a break-point to claim a 6-3, 6-4 win after 70 minutes. The Hamburg native, who was ranked World No. 9 as a junior, celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Faro POR – Clement Tabur wins Algarve title

The 31° Faro WTT Portugal 2, held at Centro de Tenis de Faro, concluded with the title win of Clement Tabur.

The former junior World No. 10, who clinched the doubles trophy at the 2018 Australian Open together with fellow French Hugo Gaston, knocked off Portuguese wild card entry Pedro Araujo in the semi-finals in three sets.

Top seeded Czech Dalibor Svrcina, who was ranked ITF No. 8 as a junior, made the last step to the final by beating French No. 5 seed Laurent Lokoli in straight sets.

Reims-born Tabur outpointed his 19-year-old rival in the championship match 61-47 to prevail 6-4, 6-2 in 88 minutes. The 22-year-old lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title win in Florida last season.

M25 Santo Domingo DOM – Geoffrey Blancaneaux continues his great series 

Geoffrey Blancaneaux captured the title of the M25 Santo Domingo tournament hosted by Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este. 

The French top seed rallied past Govind Nanda from the United States in the semi-finals in three sets. 

The tournament’s second favourite Rinky Hijikata from Australia made it to the final with a straight-set victory against Brandon Holt, who played college tennis for the University of Southern California.

Twenty-three-year-old Blancaneaux capitalized on five of his six break-point chances in the title match and dropped three service games to seal victory with 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 after two hours and 26 minutes. The Paris native, who won at least one title per season since 2017, celebrated his 14th singles title on the Pro Circuit including his ATP Challenger title in Maia last season.

M25 Nur-Sultan KAZ – Alibek Kachmazov remains solid on hard court 

Alibek Kachmazov is the champion of the Nur-Sultan Open International Tournament, held at Daulet Tennis Center.

The 19-year-old wild card entry edged out qualifier Aliaksandr Bulitski in the stage of the final four in two sets.

No. 6 seed Beibit Zhukayev from Kazakhstan booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus No. 7 seeded Serb Hamad Medjedovic, who is based at the Novak Tennis Center in Belgrade. 

Lasting about three hours, No. 3 seeded Kachmazov withstood 23 aces of his 21-year-old opponent and gained the only break in the championship match to triumph 6-3, 6-7, 7-6. The Vladikavkaz native lifted his fifth trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them on hard court.

M25 Bendigo AUS – Li Tu wins another title on hard court 

Lu Tu clinched the trophy of the Bendigo Pro Tour#1, hosted by the Bendigo Tennis Association.

In the all-Australian semi-finals, the No. 6 seed fought past Thomas Fancutt in three sets.

No. 2 seed Andrew Harris took the last step to the final by defeating teenager Philip Sekulic in straight sets.

Adelaide resident Tu converted five of his eight break-point chances and lost one service game in the title match to claim a 6-3, 6-1 victory in 66 minutes. The 25-year-old, who won 34 of 36 matches he played on the UTR Pro Tennis Series Australia in 2020 and early 2021 to be awarded a main draw into the main draw of the 2021 Australian Open, celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on hard court.

M15 Torello ESP – Imanol Lopez Morillo triumphs on home soil again

The Torneig Internacional Vila de Torello, held at Club Tennis Torello, concluded with the title win of Imanol Lopez Morillo. 

The Spaniard benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Swiss qualifier Noah Lopez after winning the first three games.

British No. 3 seed Daniel Cox advanced to the final with a three-set win against No. 2 seed Leandro Riedi from Switzerland, who had to retire in the deciding set.

Twenty-two-year-old Lopez won 77 per cent of his first-service points and gained three breaks in the championship match to succeed 6-4, 6-4 in 85 minutes. The No. 6 seed lifted his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, following his maiden title win on home soil in 2019.

M15 Antalya TUR – Lukas Neumayer clinches second title of the season 

Lukas Neumayer was crowned champion at the Antalya Series, hosted by Club Megasaray in Belek.

The Austrian No. 8 seed, who is coached by Günter Bresnik, eased past No. 2 seeded Andrey Chepelev in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Argentinian No. 4 seed Roman Andres Burruchaga benefited in the stage of the last four from the retirement of Japanese qualifier Taiyo Yamanaka in the second set.

Radstadt-born Neumayer won three points less in the title match but secured a 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 victory in two hours and nine minutes. Following his maiden championship at the same place last month, the 19-year-old celebrated his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Matteo Gigante wins debut title 

Twenty-year-old Matteo Gigante took the title of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square. 

The left-handed Italian beat Israeli No. 2 seed Ben Patael in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 7 seed Samuel Vincent Ruggeri set the all-Italian final with a straight-set victory versus French qualifier Cesar Bourgois.

No. 6 seed Gigante broke his 19-year-old opponent for four times without dropping a service game in the championship match to prevail 6-2, 6-2 in 69 minutes. The Rome native lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Raphael Collignon captures maiden trophy

Raphael Collignon emerged victorious at the Magic Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, to celebrate his first title on the Pro Circuit.

The 20-year-old Belgian finished the run of Japanese qualifier Hikaru Shiraishi in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Mathys Erhard won the all-French semifinal-clash against qualifier Mathieu Scaglia in straight sets.

In the title match with both players gaining four breaks, unseeded Collignon withstood nine aces of his rival of the same age to seal a 7-6, 7-6 win after two hours and 15 minutes.
