M25 Rosario, Santa Fe ARG – Gonzalo Villanueva succeeds in all-Argentinian affair 

The Copa Paddoc Jockey Club de Rosario, held at Country Jockey Club, concluded with the title win of local hero Gonzalo Villanueva. 

In the all-Argentinian semi-finals, the 27-year-old knocked off No. 6 seed Roman Andres Burruchaga in three sets. 

Franco Emanuel Egea made the last step to the final by beating left-handed Alejo Lorenzo Lingua Lavallen in straight sets.

Parana-born Villanueva withstood seven aces of his 26-year-old rival in the championship match and earned two breaks more to seal a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory after two hours and 25 minutes. The No. 5 seed lifted his seventh career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, handed over by the tournament director and former World No. 8 Alberto Mancini. 

M25 Reus ESP – Alex Marti Pujolras triumphs again on home soil 

Alex Marti Pujolras is the champion of the ITF WTT Autolica-Mercedes Benz_Ciutat de Reus, hosted by C.T Reus Monterols.

The 23-year-old won the all-Spanish semifinal-clash against qualifier Ignasi de Rueda de Genover in three sets.

French No. 5 seed Ugo Blanchet benefited in the stage of the final four from the retirement from the tournament’s top seed Filippo Baldi of Italy at the score of 7-5, 3-1.

Unseeded Marti Pujolras gained one break and nine points more in the title match to prevail 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 after two hours and 39 minutes. Following his maiden triumph in Melilla last season, the Santa Cruz de Bezana native celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second on Spanish soil.

M15 Dubrovnik CRO – Gergely Madarasz dominates in Croatia 

Twenty-seven-year-old Gergely Madarasz took the title of the Dubrovnik Cup, held at Tenis Centar Dubrovnik, without dropping a set the entire week.

The Hungarian No. 3 seed cruised past Andrea Guerrieri from Italy in the semi-finals in two sets.

Croation junior entry Dino Prizmic continued his great run, beating No. 4 seed Arthur Reymond of France in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Left-handed Madarasz broke his 16-year-old opponent in the championship match six times and lost only one service game to secure a 6-2, 6-0 victory after one hour and 15 minutes. The Baja native, who played college tennis for the Purdue University, celebrated his fourth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.

M15 Chiang Rai THA – JiSung Nam returns to winners’ circle

The ITF Men’s Asia/Oceania #1, hosted by the venue of Chiang Rai Sports Center, ended with the title win of JiSung Nam. 

In the semi-finals with all top-four favourites in action, the 28-year-old from South Korea booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus No. 3 seeded veteran Konstantin Kravchuk.

Top seeded Chinese Yan Bai edged out Seong Chan Hong, the Korean No. 4 seed, in the semi-finals in two sets.

Busan-born Nam outpointed his 32-year-old rival in the title match 61-38 to succeed 6-2, 6-4 in 74 minutes. The No. 2 seed lifted his fifth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2018.

M15 Antalya TUR – Teenager Hamad Medjedovic captures back-to-back titles

Following his maiden title win at the same place last week, eighteen-year-old Hamad Medjedovic from Serbia won another trophy at the Antalya Series, held at Club Megasaray in Belek. 

The former Junior World No. 9 advanced to the final with a straight-set win against Rimpei Kawakami from Japan.

French No. 6 seed Valentin Royer edged past Nicolae Frunza from Romania in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 7 seed Medjedovic converted six of his eight break-point chances in the championship match and lost two service games to seal a 6-3, 6-2 victory in 81 minutes. The Novi Pazar native, who is based at the Novak Tennis Center of World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in Belgrade, celebrated his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Joris de Loore prevails in Tunisia 

No. 2 seed Joris de Loore from Belgium emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The former World No. 174, who was ranked 104 as a junior, beat French No. 4 seed Terence Atmane in the stage of the final four in two sets. 

Teenager Szymon Kielan from Poland reached his first final on the Pro Circuit with a straight-set win in the semi-finals against French No. 6 seed Maxence Beauge. 

Twenty-eight-year-old de Loore won 81 per cent of his first-service points and gained the only three breaks in the title match to claim a 6-4, 6-3 victory in 96 minutes. The Bruges native lifted his ninth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Alibek Kachmazov clinches third title of the season

Alibek Kachmazov clinched the trophy of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square.

The tournament’s top favourite took the last step to the final by defeating Lukas Pokorny from Slovakia in two sets. 

Italian No. 3 seed Samuel Vincent Ruggeri, who played all of his ten tournaments this season on Egyptian soil, cruised past Filip Bergevi from Sweden in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Vladikavkaz-born Kachmazov capitalized on four of his nine break-point opportunities in the championship match and dropped one service game to triumph 6-2, 6-4 after one hour and 32 minutes. The 19-year-old celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third of 2022.
