Qualfier Marcelo Arevalo and unseeded Pedja Krstin will compete in Sunday’s final of the $50,000 San Luis Open Challenger.

The 25-year-old from El Salvador cruised past Federico Gaio, winning 6-1, 6-4. Arevalo sent down four aces, saved the only break point he faced, converting three of his own in 62 minutes to reach his first career final on ATP Challenger level.

Krstin knocked out with second favourite Albert Montanes the remaining seed in the draw, winning 6-2, 6-4. The world number 201 from Serbia won 76% of his first service points and capitalized on four of his six break point chances to seal victory in one hour and 13 minutes. Krstin advanced to his second career final, after losing to Eduardo Struvay at the Abierto de Puebla three weeks ago.

Arevalo and Krstin will meet for the first time on the tour, eyeing to lift their maiden Challenger trophy. In the doubles final top-seed Santiago Gonzalez and Mate Pavic will take on Marcus Daniel and Artem Sitak.
