The Novak Djokovic Foundation will be the partner of the new ITF $25.000 tournament that will take place in Rome. The first edition of the PL Open International will be hosted at the Forum Sport Center, one of the largest sports clubs in Europe from 28th May to 3rd June.

The organization relies on many personalities, among them, there are Petr Losev (PL Open’s founder), Marco Panichi (Novak Djokovic’s fitness coach and PL Open Project Manager), Luca Clarens (Executive Director), and Mauro Ricevuti (Tournament Director). All the people involved are working on setting high standards and on growing fast.

Various side events will also take place alongside the event. On 31st May there will be a VIPs charity tournament, and on 4th June a special charity dinner will be hosted at the exclusive venue of “La Lanterna” with the presence of Jelena Djokovic, the Serbian champion Novak Djokovic’s wife, and Maja Jovanovic, director of the Novak Djokovic foundation. Novak Djokovic’s racket and the kit used during his latest match at the Australian Open will be auctioned off during the event.

The PL Open International will be played on four renovated clay courts; also, the organization is planning the stands restyling and the construction of a small village for the public, who will have free access during all the week’s events. One of the organisation’s intentions is to give a new men’s tennis tournament to Rome, raising the bar from the beginning.
