Filip Misolic has clinched the title of the Regione Abruzzo – Roseto Degli Abruzzi. The top seed of the €73,000 ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event in Italy defeated first-time finalist Raphael Collignon of Belgium 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(6) in Sunday’s championship match.
In front of more than 1,200 spectators on Center Court, Misolic withstood five aces and broke his rival’s serve five times to secure victory in three hours and 17 minutes.

By winning his second Challenger career trophy following his maiden triumph in Zagreb, Croatia last year, the World No. 142 earned €9,880 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
“It ends an intense week with great satisfaction for the Roseto Tennis Club. We had players who arrived since the Wednesday before the tournament staying in Abruzzo for over ten days,” said Luigi Bianchini, President of the Roseto Tennis Club.
