Hugo Grenier was crowned champion of the 28th edition of the Open Ciudad de Pozoblanco. The ATP Challenger Tour hard-court event offered a total prize money of €73,000 and was held at the at the C.D. Open de Tenis Ciudad de Pozoblanco, a town situated in the lowlands of Los Pedroches of the province of Córdoba.
The top seed from France overcame a one-set deficit to beat Juan Pablo Ficovich of Argentina 6-7(4), 6-2, 7-6(3) in the singles final on Sunday evening. In the pair’s first meeting, Grenier struck 12 aces and won 83 per cent of his first-service points to seal victory in thrilling three hours and 13 minutes.

The World No. 135 captured his fifth ATP Challenger career crown, his second of the season following his triumph in Les Franqueses de Valles, Spain in March.
