Frenchman Constant Lestienne is the champion of the inaugural Golden Gate Open. The No. 4 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 hard-court tournament held at the Stanford Taube Tennis Center in California ended the run of US-American qualifier Emilio Nava in Saturday’s singles final, winning 7-6(4), 6-2.
Lestienne converted three of his eight break-point chances and won 54 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 43 minutes.

The World No. 105 from Amiens captured his seventh ATP Challenger Tour career title, his first of the season, and earned $21,660 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
Hidalgo/Rodriguez take doubles title
In other action, Diego Hidalgo of Ecuador and Cristian Rodriguez from Colombia overcame a one-set deficit to beat top seeds Julian Cash and Henry Pattern from Great Britain to secure the doubles title. The South Americans won 6-7(1), 6-4, 10-8 in one hour and 40 minutes.
By winning their second team title in 2023 after Vina del Mar, Chile in March, Hidalgo and Rodriguez split $9,350 in prize money and collected 125 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
