Tallon Griekspoor, the Netherland’s best-ranked player, will be in action at the ABN AMRO Open in February. The World No. 23 was a semi-finalist in Rotterdam Ahoy earlier this year. The 51st edition of the tournament will be held from February 10 to 18, 2024.

2023 has been the year of Griekspoor’s definitive breakthrough at the highest level. After winning the title in Pune, India in the first week of the year and a third round at the Australian Open, a spot in the semi-final in Rotterdam followed. It took him to the Top 40 in the world.

With another tournament win at the Libéma Open, Griekspoor showed that the fans at home are a huge inspiration for him. By reaching the final in Washington, just like the ABN AMRO Open an ATP 500 tournament, he advanced to the Top 30.

Tournament director Richard Krajicek said: “We always have had faith in Tallon. His fighting spirit, together with his talent, ensure that the Dutch fans love to watch him. And that feeling is mutual, we have seen during previous successes during the ABN AMRO Open. The tennis fans are massively behind him. We are curious to see if he can take another step forward this year and also manage to reach the final in Rotterdam.”
