Geoffrey Blancaneaux captured the title of the Delhi Open 2024 held at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association in New Delhi. The 25-year-old Frenchman defeated 19-year-old Coleman Wong of Hong Kong 6-4, 6-2 in Sunday’s singles final.

The bustling capital city of India stands as a vibrant tapestry of history, culture, and modernity. Situated in the northern part of the country, New Delhi serves as the seat of the Indian government and is renowned for its rich heritage, diverse population, and dynamic atmosphere.

Blancaneaux battled his way into the championship match of the $82,000 ATP Challenger Tour hard-court event with wins in the bottom half of the draw over Tunisian qualifier Moez Echargui, No. 2 seed Adam Walton of Australia, Australian qualifier Philip Sekulic and US-American Tristan Boyer.

The World No. 277 hit six aces, saved both break points he faced and capitalized on three of his own six break-point opportunities to secure victory in one hour and 45 minutes.

By winning his second ATP Challenger career title following his maiden triumph on indoor clay at the 2021 Maia Open in Portugal, Blancaneaux earned $11,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
