The world’s best players are ready to compete in the second ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, the Miami Open presented by Itau.

Carlos Alcaraz is fresh off his resurgence at Indian Wells, where he claimed his first trophy of 2024. Will the Spaniard complete the Sunshine Double in Florida?

A star-studded field will try to stop him. Daniil Medvedev is the defending champion and the man he defeated in last year’s final, Jannik Sinner, began his year 16-0 before losing to Alcaraz in the Indian Wells semi-finals. Despite final defeat in Indian Wells, Medvedev heads to Miami full of confidence as he bids to win the same event twice for the first time.

Top 20 stars Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton lead the bid for a first US-American winner in Miami since John Isner in 2018. Frances Tiafoe and Sebastian Korda will also look to channel home support, while #NextGenATP Alex Michelsen is set for his Hard Rock Stadium debut.

Alexander Zverev of Germany and Denmark’s Holger Rune are among the Top 10 players chasing their first trophy of 2024, while Andrey Rublev from Russia goes for his second following his triumph at the Hong Kong Tennis Open in early January. Casper Ruud of Norway and Australian Alex de Minaur are looking to clinch their first ATP Masters 1000 crowns.
