Three German players are assured of a place in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix main draw. Alongside Angelique Kerber, Laura Siegemund and Tatjana Maria have also both been given a wild card for the WTA Tour 500 indoor clay-court tournament held from 13 to 21 April at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart. 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu of Great Britain has also been awarded a wild card.

Germany’s Porsche Talent Team members Ella Seidel and Nastasja Schunk have both received wild cards into the qualifying.

‟We go to great lengths to decide who we want to support with a wild card,” tournament director Anke Huber said. ‟As a tournament in Germany, we naturally want to do justice to the responsibility we have for German women’s tennis.

‟For us, it’s important that we give our up-and-coming players the chance to compete against the world’s best at our tournament and therefore improve further. We’ve always had good experiences with the policy in the past.”
