The grass-court season has kicked off this week with the Lexus Surbiton Trophy. The combined ATP Challenger Tour 125 and ITF World Tennis Tour W100 event is being held at the Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club.

- Britain’s Emily Appleton beats Czech teenager Linda Fruhvirtova 64 64.
- No. 4 seed Greet Minnen from Belgium is too strong for Britain’s Fran Jones as she seals a 63 64 win.
- Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca beats Britain’s Kyle Edmund 62 61, with Britain’s Paul Jubb losing 16 63 62 to Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin.
